Haunted Queen Mary
Haunted Queen Mary...
Also know as the Grey Ghost, the Queen Mary was the sister ship to the Titanic, although much bigger. During WWWII they painted her gray and she ran troops across the Atlantic- to avoid detection she sailed in a zig zag motion. Her top speed is 35 mph but takes up to 10 miles to stop.
She ramed into her transport gunner ship one fateful night and almost 400 people died. This is the spot of the damage. Those that were not instantly killed or killed in the fire created by the impact were sucked back into the propellers.
The ship is rumored to have housed prisoners of war but the British government has that information under lock and key. Many have heard moans from the old luggage hull where prisoners may have been held.
The Queen Mary has an unfortunate design flaw which made it pitch sharply. These staircase are known as the dead man's case because on its maiden voyage more than 70 people were injured with broken wrists or arms. One man did die on the case and some people have reported seeing him.
But the most hunted room on the Mary was the third case lounge. A woman in red has been reported sitting in a wicker chair, repeatedly. Three crew members saw her at the same time. She has been photographed many times over-the years but most people catch her in mirrors.
Overall.. I rate the Queen Mary as most likely haunted and a good tour. It's worth seeing. I'd like to stay the night in the hotel for sure.
