Vampire for Halloween?

Ok, Halloween is around the corner and it’s time to start thinking about the best holiday of the year. Hands down Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. I tend to go all out for this one and have been everything from Elvira to Princess Peach to Bowsette-

But as we begin our round up- let’s think about monsters. Last year I was a witch. What about a vampire this year?

This movie was so bad nobody remembers it. Well, some old people may remember  that the lead actress died.  It has a small cult following but I doubt anybody under 45 will recognize the references. So, no- lame -

Very entertaining vampire movie but in the end, the vampire was ineffective.. as are most female vampires, ever notice this trend?. Spoiler alert- she needed human help.

Del Toro always makes magic but does anyone remember the vampire, really?  I can’t remember the vampire- that does not bode well for this vampire scare- no, definitely not a decent vampire-

Hands down the best vampire series and the most underrated- but again, he is half human, male, and black. Female vampire characters are just underpowered- look at Dusk til Dawn-

Ugh, creepy twinkling vampire that makes out with teen. No thanks. This must be the worst vampire series of all time and while people might recognize these fangs they are completely inept and disgusting. This series has not aged well.

Well, I’ve done the leather and whip thing as catwoman. She was fun. This vampire needs werewolves to survive. She’s mediocre and never truly delivers a kill shot. The werewolves do the hard work, she’s eye candy. No thanks. 🙂‍↔️ Cat woman can at least hold her own.

Now this is a good vampire movie! But- I’ll put it in a maybe pile-

Also a good vampire movie with an interesting premise but I could be biased because Josh Hartnet is hot - and not Hollywood. That said, there are no decent female parts- notice the trend.

The bastardization of the books aside- no- these are also the whiniest vampires besides Twilight vampires to ever hit the big screen-  whiney and inept vampires.

So do vampires qualify as scary monsters anymore or are they more romantic figures for those wishing to touch their toes into darkness, in a safe, sexy way? A lonely female hoping to be coerced into a compromising situation by a dark - dangerous man? Or conversely, the man looking for the vampy, controlling woman?

So, vampire is really a sexy outfit - not a scary one, or cute, adorable one. Eh - this is Bowsette- now she was coool AF! I was also Princess Peach- that was just as fun-

Have you ever seen a real vampire??

What do you think? Vampires- yes or no for Halloween?
