Trump out raises Biden, again.

“He’s done the things he promised to, or tried to do the things he’s promised to,” Timothy Mellon famously said of Trump.  

Mr Mellon just donated $50 million to a Super PAC supporting Trump.  Over the last few months Trump and significantly closed the fundraising gap between himself and Biden.

According to the NYT, Former President Donald J. Trump out-raised President Biden for the second consecutive month in May, outpacing his successor by roughly $81 million in donations over the last two months as he rode a surge of financial support after his felony conviction.

In May, Mr. Biden’s campaign and its joint operation with the Democratic National Committee raised $85 million, compared with $141 million for Mr. Trump and the Republican National Committee, according to the two campaigns. In April, the Trump team also brought in $25 million more than the Biden team.

Trump has cut the gap between the campaigns in half within 2 months. 

Democrats are furious with Mr Mellon who is also donating to Robert Kennedy Jr.  They say that Kennedy is a political spoiler and to them, Mellon’s donations prove it.

Financier Ross Stevens Threatens Rescind $100 M Gift Unless Magill Ousted

 Continuing yesterdays discussion on free speech on college campuses, after Rep Elise Stefanik's grilling of Penn president Liz Magill went viral, founder and chief executive officer of Stone Ridge Holding Group, announced to Penn he would rescind  $100 million gift if university did not replace Magill.  According to WSJ sources, some board members met virtually after meeting with Ross due to the evolving controversy, although no formal vote was cast. Most attendees were overwhelmingly supportive of Magill according to WSJ.  However, there is growing public criticism from both left and right against all three presidents involved in yesterdays panel to congress.
